Born and raised in the Port City, Tyler discovered his passion for design at a very young age by ensuring his family’s house had the most holiday decor out of anyone around. He began his design journey while attending the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and completing a Hospitality and Hotel Management internship at the North River Yacht Club. While attending classes at UA, Tyler spent his free time designing for private estates and neighborhood entrances in the Birmingham area. While in Birmingham, he gained exposure to the event industry with the help of Meghan Cease, Owner of M. Elizabeth Weddings & Events.

After receiving his Bachelor’s in Telecommunication and Film with a minor in Hospitality and Hotel Management, Tyler returned back to his roots in Mobile, AL. The passion for fresh flowers started when Tyler began working for Kim at Bay Flowers in downtown Mobile. He absorbed everything he possibly could while learning the ins and outs of the floral industry. He then met his mentor Cynthia Zipperly, owner of Designer Imports, LLC, and entered the world of luxury weddings & events, and interior design.

With all the new knowledge gained from working with such great role models, he knew it was time to take the next step. Tyler Matthew Creations, LLC. Officially founded in 2019, TMC has been servicing clients all over the gulf coast, providing stunning arrangements and wedding florals, as well as holiday decor and design.
